Three people have been charged after a stabbing in Downtown Windsor on Monday.

Police were called around 3:15am to the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue for a 34-year-old female that had been stabbed.

Upon arrival officers spoke to the female and she wasn’t able to provide many details.

The victim was transported to hospital where she received surgery for a stab wound just below the rib cage.

Police say the victim knew the other person involved and they had been involved in an altercation earlier.

Both were arrested and charged.

The 57 year old male from Windsor was charged with Aggravated Assault and the 34 year old female from Windsor was charged with Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Probation.

A 24 year old male from Windsor that witnessed the incident was also charged with Breach of Probation.

The female remains in hospital where she is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
