The RCMP arrested five from Windsor this week and seized illegal tobacco, currency and a car after they executed search warrants at two residences in the late afternoon of November 5th.

Police say that their investigators executed simultaneous search warrants at residences located on the 3900 block of Maple Leaf Crescent and the 700 block of Vanier Street. Police seized a total of approximately 1145 cartons of contraband tobacco, 10 kilograms of contraband water pipe tobacco, approximately $2,000 cash along with a 2010 Honda Civic as a result of the investigation.

49-year-old Abdallah Al-Latif is charged with Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco; Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco for Sale and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. 38-year-old Zeinab AL-Asadi is charged with Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco for Sale and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. 20-year-old Mohammed Al-Latif is charged with Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco for Sale and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. 19-year-old Alqasim Al-Latif is charged with Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco for Sale, Possession of Proceeds of Crime and Obstruction. 48-year-old Mansuri, Adnan is charged with Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco and Unlawfully Possessing Unstamped Tobacco for Sale.

All five were released to appear on Monday, December 22nd in the Ontario Court of Justice.
