The driver of a car was killed when he crashed into a farm tractor pulling a trailer just north of Chatham-Kent in Petrolia.

OPP Constable Todd Monaghan says the crash took place around 5:30am, Friday morning on Petrolia Line between Mandaumin Road and Fairweather Road.

The male driver of the farm tractor was not injured however the male driver of the car was pronounced dead.

The traffic investigation is in the very early stages with OPP Technical Collision Investigators currently on scene.

The OPP are reminding rural drivers that it is still harvest time and that farm vehicles are still on the roads.
