Windsor Police have arrested a 53-year-old man who they allege followed a young girl, and had child pornography on his phone and tablet.

Police were called to a home on November 3rd after a young girl and her mother reported the girl had been followed by a suspicious person.

Officers were told the girl was approached in the 5000 block of Raymond Avenue by a male in a vehicle who began speaking to her, according to police. Police say the girl knew the 53-year-old man, however.

Officers later arrested the suspect male for criminal harassment, and after further investigation by detectives of the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit, a warrant was issued to seize the man’s phone and tablet from his vehicle to search for photos or videos of the victim.

Police say no photos or videos were found of the victim, however, officers allegedly found an image of a second young female that he appeared to be watching.

Police were able to identify the second young girl and the man was charged with an additional count of criminal harassment.

Police say they also found evidence of child pornography on his devices.

Perry Maeckler, 53, of Windsor is charged with 2 counts of criminal harassment, unlawfully accessing child pornography and unlawfully possessing child pornography.
