John Elliot, Ward 2 city councillor.
John Elliott is the new city councillor for Ward 2.
With 103 of 103 polls reporting, Elliott led with 1,729 votes and 41.1 per cent of the vote.
Elliott, executive director of the Sandwich Teen Action Group, said he has to learn the lay of the land at city hall.
“I’ve got a lot to learn, being other people on council and the mayor. It will be sitting down and becoming familiar,” he said
As the new councillor, Elliott plans to take it one step at a time.
