OPP are investigating a rash of pharmacy break and enters in the region over the past few months.

Police say 13 pharmacies have fallen prey to the incidents.

Most of the break and enters took place during the early morning hours after midnight, according to police.

Pharmacies are advised to make sure all medication is locked up, especially narcotics that have been left out for next day delivery. OPP say those types of medication are highly sought after by criminals and become easy targets when not secured.

The OPP is asking anyone with information to call 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police agency immediately. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
