Organizers undertaking the site selection for a new Windsor mega hospital have identified 20 possible locations after land owners submitted their locations for consideration.

But the locations are not being made public just yet.

The process of selecting a home for the new regional hospital is moving forward after the request for proposals stage closed. Now the site selection subcommittee will decide which of those proposals meet the necessary criteria and create a short list of potential sites.

“It shows the benefit of having such an open, unique, inclusive and transparent process,” says Windsor Regional CEO David Musyj, speaking about the open RFP process.

Due to the high number of sites now being considered and the detailed examination required for each site, organizers are not likely to have a short list of sites ready until early next year.

Organizers say the locations of properties being considered will not be made public during this stage in the process.
