Police have arrested 30-year-old Brandon Wheeler in British Columbia.

Officers from the Saanich Police Department say that shortly after 7am a call from a concerned area resident was received by their dispatch. The caller indicated that they had observed the photograph of a person on the internet wanted by Windsor Police on a Canada Wide warrant. The caller believed that they had seen the same person in their neighbourhood and provided the last known location of the wanted person.

Officers went to the residential neighbourhood in what is commonly referred to as the “Saanich panhandle,” a residential neighbourhood between Foul Bay Road and Richmond Road, and Lansdowne Road and Fort Street.

Officers were successful in locating and identifying Wheeler.

Windsor Police were notified of the arrest and will be making arrangements for him to be transported back to the Windsor area. Wheeler will face two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.
