Windsor Police have charged 7 drivers after 150km/h or greater speeding incidents on EC Row over the weekend.

On Friday afternoon police stopped a black Suzuki motorcycle near Central Avenue for speeding. The 23-year-old driver was charged with performing a stunt on a highway after police say he was clocked at 154km/h. His vehicle was towed.

Then Friday evening, police stopped a westbound Toyota and charged a 32-year-old man with performing a stunt on a highway. Police say they clocked the driver going 156km/h. His vehicle was also towed.

Just after midnight Saturday, police stopped a blue Nissan near Dominion and charged the 22-year-old driver with performing a stunt on a highway. Police say the driver was going 160km/h. Police towed his vehicle too.

On Saturday around 11pm, police saw a blue Volkswagen traveling westbound alongside another compact car. Police say the officer merged onto EC Row to follow the vehicles when they suddenly accelerated. Police say the officer was able to obtain a speed reading off the Volkswagen of 167k/h. The Volkswagen exited at the Howard exit ramp and the officer stopped the driver on Howard northbound, north of EC Row. The 30-year-old driver was charged with performing a stunt on a highway. Police towed his vehicle.

Then on Sunday around 12:25am, police stopped a white Mercedes near Dougall Avenue. Police say they clocked the car going 178km/h. The 26-year-old driver was charged with performing a stunt on a highway. Police also towed his vehicle.

Later in the afternoon on Sunday, police stopped a black Land Rover they say they clocked going 155km/h. The 44-year-old driver was charged with performing a stunt on a highway. The Land Rover was towed.

Finally on Sunday evening, police stopped a black Ford near Conservation Drive. The vehicle was clocked at 150km/h, according to police. A 32-year-old driver was charged with performing a stunt on a highway. His vehicle was also towed.
