Lutsch Avenue looking southbound in Google Street View

A Windsor woman has died from injuries after a minivan crashed into a house in Leamington last week.

Five people were rushed to hospital after the minivan lost control and crashed into a front porch on Oak Street on September 7th.

OPP said the minivan was southbound on Lutsch Avenue approaching Oak Street East when it lost control and crashed into the front porch.

Lutsch Avenue ends at at a stop sign at Oak Street.

Jorgina Melo, 59, was a front seat passenger in the minivan. She was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and died several days later.

Four other occupants of the vehicle were treated for various injuries.

No one inside the home was injured.

Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
