The University of Windsor did not meet its enrollment predictions this fall.

In an open update to the campus community, president Alan Wildeman said the projected fall 2014 first year enrollment was 3400, but the University didn’t meet its predictions and enrollment is down by 200 students.

Wildeman said full-time graduate/master’s program enrollment for this fall is very close to the projected number of 2,564, and part-time enrollment came very close to its projected number of 2,267.

The president stressed that enrollment patterns are critically important for the University of Windsor and the decline will have “significant revenue impacts.”

Wildeman said the University has taken steps to boost enrollment again with several changes in the area of student recruitment.
