Craft Beer Festival Coming To LaSalle

The Town of LaSalle will be holding its first Craft Beer Festival over the Thanksgiving weekend, October 10th and 11th at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.

“The Town of LaSalle is very pleased with the achievements of the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex since it opened in 2008. Our plan continues to grow and develop to address the needs of our residents,” said Mayor Ken Antaya. “Come out and enjoy our venue. Stroll the grounds, enjoy the crisp Autumn air, and indulge in one of the fine craft beers available at the LaSalle Craft Beer Festival.”

Featured breweries will be Walkerville Brewery, Samuel Adams, Steam Whistle, Railway City, Nickel Brook Brewing Co., Goose Island Beer Co., Hopcity Brewing Co., brew and Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company. In addition, food vendors will be Tutti Mangia Food Truck, Smashed Appled Food Truck and Other Place Catering.

In addition to craft beer and food, there is a full entertainment line up. OnFriday, October 10th, the headliner is Greatest Hits Live with the Mike Ure Band opening. Three members of the Mike Ure Band are from LaSalle. On Saturday, October 11th, performers include Paying Cash (Johnny Cash tribute band from LaSalle), Matt & Dusty and the Jody Raffoul Band.

“The LaSalle Craft Beer Festival provides another choice for residents and visitors alike in experiencing what Windsor Essex has to offer during the Thanksgiving weekend. It builds upon the momentum of and helps to position the culinary tourism strategy for Windsor Essex,” Said Gordon Orr, Chief Executive Officer for Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island.

Tickets for the event will be available starting on Monday, September 15th at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex and the LaSalle branch of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union. Tickets are $25 and include 5 sample tokens and a 6 oz. sample mug.
