The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority is busy setting up shop in the area.
The authority is a not-for-profit Canadian Crown Corporation and will manage the procurement process for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the new bridge between Windsor and Detroit through a public-private partnership.
Over the next two weeks they will be sending out an initial series of requests for proposals and quotations that will focus on them getting the office operations off the ground. This includes operational opportunities for information technology, website development services, branding and accommodations.
“These requests for proposals mark an important step towards the WDBA becoming fully operational”, said Michael Cautillo, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority. “We look forward to having local and area businesses compete and for them to be part of this exciting project.”
