Acting on information provided by the public along with the assistance of aerial reconnaissance, Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit and Community Patrol Branch along with Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers conducted marijuana eradication over the past several days.
Police say that they checked corn fields throughout the municipality and seized 1,160 mature marijuana plants, worth approximately $1.1 million dollars for destruction.
