OPP in Leamington have arrested a 63-year-old Windsor man after being involved in an accident that involved five parked vehicles and striking a pole that resulted in a power outage in the area.

Police say it was around 8:15pm when a 2007 Dodge Ram pick up allegedly being driven by Martin Klassen was travelling west on Point Pelee Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the five parked vehicles and the power pole.

There were no injuries and there is no estimate of the damages at this time.

Klassen was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired, driving a motor vehicle with blood alcohol in excess of 80 milligrams, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and fail to remain at the scene of a motor vehicle collision.

He will be appearing in Provincial Court in Leamington on September 16th.
