Police have made an arrest after a man was beaten over the head with a pipe.

Around 4:30am, Windsor Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Moy Avenue in relation to a fight. Police received several calls from concerned citizens.

Police spoke with a 44 year old male victim who was bleeding from a wound to his head. Police say the male pointed out a suspect and indicated that the man had struck him in the head with a pipe. Police observed the suspect seated on the front steps of a residence still holding a pipe in his hands. He was ordered to drop the pipe and was placed under arrest.

The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The victim became unconscious and an internal brain injury is suspected.

He is still in hospital for treatment.

Colin Kendall, 42 years of age is charged with Assault with a Weapon.

Police haven’t said what prompted the altercation.
