Two people have been arrested following a break in to a candy store.

Police were called around 3am this morning to the area of Pillette Road and Tecumseh Road East for a break and enter that had just occurred. A witness called police after seeing 2 suspects smash a window and break into The Sugar Shack.

Officers responding to the call located the 2 described suspects walking southbound on Pillette, just south of Tecumseh Road East. Both males were placed under arrest without incident.

Each suspect was found to have a quantity of candy, chocolate bars, and chewing gum in their possession.

Both men are 18 years old and are charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property.

They were both released on a Promise to Appear with a Court date in September.
