A woman has died after she was struck by a car Saturday in East Windsor.

Windsor Police Staff Sergeant Pamela Mizuno said the woman was struck by a car while walking across Pillette near Seminole around 7:30pm.

She said the victim was struck by a silver Chrysler 300 turning northbound onto Pillette from Seminole.

The victim was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries where she later died.

Police closed the intersection until well after midnight while investigators examined the scene.

The 79-year-old driver of the Chrysler 300 has been charged with careless driving.
