Windsor Police have made two arrests in their ongoing investigation to the fire at the old Wickes Bumper Plant on June 25th in east Windsor.

Police say that after an extensive investigation, they identified two suspects and on Thursday July 10th officers arrested a 16-year-old Windsor teenager and an 18-year-old Tecumseh man.

Both suspects are charged with arson causing damage to property.

The 16-year-old suspect was released on a promise to appear to the custody of his parents.  The 18-year-old will be released later this afternoon on a promise to appear with a later court date.

Windsor Police Chief Al Frederick said that he is pleased with the arrest “I credit the dedication and teamwork of all officers involved in this case for the timely arrest of these suspects.”

Damage in the massive fire is set at an estimated $1,000,000.
