Two Leamington residents have been arrested and are facing charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code.

Early last evening a woman was arrested outside a residence on Evans Street in Leamington by members of the Essex County OPP Street Crimes Unit and found in possession of a quantity of cocaine and crack cocaine. During a subsequent search of that residence police seized a quantity of cocaine.

The two people who were arrested were taken into custody and will be appearing in court in Windsor today.

Carly Edwards, 23 of Leamington, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of breach of probation.

John Bailey, 53 of Leamington, is charged with one count of trafficking a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of undertaking.

The total value of the drugs seized was approximately $1,500.
