Parking Rates Hike Proposed For UWindsor

Parking rates at the University of Windsor are set to increase July 1st, pending Board of Governor approval on May 20th.

The proposed new rate for Faculty and Staff lots is $661.98. The current rate is $601.80. One remote Lot, located under the Ambassador Bridge, will have a rate of $538.19. The current rate is $489.26.

The proposed new rate for Students for an eight month pass is $302.19, the current rate is $287.80. For a 12 month pass the proposed rate is $362.16. The current rate is $344.91.

A parking garage permit for students for eight months will cost $441.31 This current rate is $401.20.

The university states that the proposed rates for faculty, staff and students, effective July 1st, 2014, continue to be below the median rate for parking at other Ontario universities.

Several surface lots on campus will close this summer once the parking garage is fully open. Those lots will be converted to green space as part of the Campus Master Plan.
