Environment Canada has released a special weather statement advising of significant rainfall for the remainder of the day today and into Friday.

A low pressure system from the southern plains will spread a significant rainfall into Southern Ontario tonight and Friday according to the statement.

General rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 millimetres are expected and isolated thunderstorms are likely.
