City of Windsor offices will be closed on Friday, April 18th and Monday, April 21st for the Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays. The next City Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22nd in Council Chambers at City Hall.

Here is a look at how other city services will be effected this long weekend:

311 Call Centre

The 311 Call Centre will be closed Friday and Monday.

211 Windsor-Essex

211 Windsor-Essex will be open 24 hours a day throughout the Easter holiday period.

Garbage and Recycling Collections

There will be no residential collection services on Good Friday or Easter Monday. Residential collection services will be delayed by one day.

Public Drop-off and Household Chemical Waste Depot

Depot located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and E.C. Row is closed on Good Friday but is open on Saturday, April 19 and Easter Monday from 8am to 4:45pm.

Parks and Recreation

All community and customer care centres and pools will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, except for previously scheduled rentals. All community centre programs including swimming and programs will occur on Saturday, April 19 and on Easter Monday. WFCU Centre will be closed on Good Friday and open for previously scheduled rentals and programmes on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Adventure Bay Family Water Park presented by WFCU will be open special hours, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Good Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Easter Monday and regular hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Parking Enforcement

There will be no municipal parking enforcement on Good Friday or Easter Monday, and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed as well.

Windsor Public Library

All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed April 18th to 21st.

Windsor’s Community Museum and Mackenzie Hall

Windsor’s Community Museum and Mackenzie Hall will be closed April 18th to 21st.

Transit Windsor

City buses will run on the Sunday/Holiday schedule on Friday and Sunday, and regular schedules for Saturday and Monday. The Tunnel Bus will operate on its regular schedules throughout the weekend. Schedules and route maps are available online at www.citywindsor.ca/transitwindsor, and this information is also available at any Windsor area Shoppers Drug Mart, Windsor Public Library branches, community centres, arenas, Transit Centre, or any Transit Windsor bus. The Transit sales office at 300 Chatham Street West is open daily from 7am to 9pm. The sales office at 3700 North Service Road East will be closed on Friday.
