A fire at 920 Ouellette in Downtown Windsor caused 50,000 Wednesday evening.

Fire crews were called to an apartment unit on the 20th floor just before 6pm, and managed to contain the fire to one unit. Several other units have smoke and water damage.

Officials say it started in the kitchen, and list damage at $50,000.

One person was injured and taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, where he remains in stable condition. Three other tenants were displaced due to smoke and water damage to their units.
