Police arrested two people after a break and enter in Downtown Windsor.

Officers were called just after 5pm to the 800 block of Windsor Avenue after a witness observed two men crawl through the basement window to a home.

Police swarmed the area within minutes and could hear noises coming from inside the home.

Police deployed a dog inside the residence after the suspects didn’t respond to commands to exit the house. The dog apprehended one suspect and officers later found and arrested the second suspect who was also allegedly inside the home.

An 18-year-old male and a 26-year-old male each face charges of break and enter and possession of break and enter tools. The 18-year-old also faces an additional charge of possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
