A man who went to his neighbour’s to complain about loud music got a surprise when the neighbour allegedly pulled a machete on him.

Police were called to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive East, Sunday morning.

The victim told police he knocked on his neighbour’s door to speak to the neighbour about loud music and the neighbour allegedly answered the door with a machete in his hand, which he allegedly swung at the complainant.

After some initial unsuccessful attempts, officers were able to make contact with the suspect and he was arrested at the scene without incident.

An 18 year old faces charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
