Two more businesses are the latest victims of a thief or thieves who have targeted several area businesses by smashing in front windows or doors.

Around 1:20am Friday, police were dispatched to a commercial alarm at 3090 Legacy Drive. Officers arrived and discovered that the glass to the pedestrian door at the Subway Restaurant had been smashed with a rock.

Then around 6:30am, police were dispatched to a commercial alarm at 3392 Dougall Avenue. Officers arrived and discovered that the glass to the pedestrian door at the Subway Restaurant had also been smashed with a rock.

A small amount of change was taken from each restaurant.

Police haven’t yet said if these break ins are connected to a rash of TV thefts or break ins earlier this week to two other businesses where rocks were used to smash doors and windows.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
