Two men robbed a gas station in Chatham over the weekend and police say the cashier was in on the crime.

Around 3:30am Sunday, two men wearing bandanas entered the Esso Gas Bar on Bloomfield Road in Chatham. The men demanded money from the cashier and were given an undisclosed amount.

Police say the men fled in a vehicle waiting for them outside. The cashier was not injured.

Through investigation, police learned that the cashier was involved in the robbery.

The 21-year-old cashier was charged with robbery.

Police also located and arrested the two suspects, both 22-year-olds, and charged them each with robbery.

Police continue to investigate with the belief that others may be involved.
