Chatham-Kent OPP have charged a Windsor man under stunt driving laws after pulling his vehicle over on the 401.

OPP were conducting radar enforcement on the 401 near Drake Side Road in Chatham-Kent just before 9:30pm last night when an officer observed a Chevrolet vehicle that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr.

Police say radar was used to confirm a speed of 163 km/hr.

Joseph Costante, 30, from Windsor, has been charged with racing a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The Costante’s licence was suspended and the vehicle has been impounded for a period of seven days.
