Did you know more than 5000 Windsorites cross the border for work each day? Want to be one of them?

A new website and partnership between Windsor and Detroit gives Windsorites an inside track on
IT jobs at leading mortgage lender.

The City of Windsor and Detroit-based Quicken Loans, America’s largest online mortgage lender, today announce a new recruiting partnership called WindsorWork.ca.

The partnership, announced during Mayor Eddie Francis’ State of the City Address in November 2013, is a way to help diversify employment locally, keep talented professionals in the city and entice others to move to Windsor. Each day more than 5,000 people cross the border to work in Detroit and the surrounding areas.

“Quicken Loans is an industry leader, one of the very best employers in the United States,” said Mayor Francis. “We’re proud that this partnership will be a bridge between career seekers, a great employer and our city.”

WindsorWork.ca is now live and features several Quicken Loans Information Technology (IT) positions, including iOS Developer, Telecom Engineer, .NET Developer, SQL Database Administrator, Windows Systems Engineer.

“We are always looking for candidates who are passionate, motivated and eager to learn and work inside a company that challenges and rewards its team members,” said Michelle Salvatore, Director of Recruiting for Quicken Loans. “We’re excited to partner with the City of Windsor to connect with technology talent from across the Detroit River who want to work at Computerworld magazine’s number one place to work in IT in the United States.”
