Essex County OPP made two arrests of alleged drunk drivers over the weekend.

OPP arrested 46-year-old Edward Rodrigues on Saturday after a single vehicle crash. Police say the crash took place around 5:30pm at the intersection of Wallace Street and Emerson Avenue. A Dodge pickup truck had collided with a large snow bank causing injuries to the driver, Rodrigues, who police say exhibited signs of impairment.

He was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content.

Then in the early morning hours of Sunday, officers in Harrow stopped a black Chevrolet on Murdoch Street.

Police say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

Reginald Rigg, 21, was charged with exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content.
