Windsor Police have a suspect in custody and have charged him with attempted murder after an altercation in December.

Police were called to a home invasion in the 800 block of Langlois Avenue on December 9th. They say two suspects had entered the residence, one carrying some type of wooden club and the second suspect produced a firearm.

After a physical confrontation, a 49 year old male resident at the home suffered a gunshot wound to his head and a number of lacerations to his scalp. The two suspects fled the scene taking nothing. The victim is still recovering from his injury.

After investigating, police arrested 20-year-old Kevin Poblete on Tuesday and charged him with attempted murder.

The second suspect is still wanted by police. He is described as being male, in his early 20’s, 5’7″, slim build wearing a grey hoody and black ball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police Major Crime at 519-255-6700 ext.4830 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
