Firefighters have extinguished a blaze in a home in the 8600 block of Darlington Crescent in the Villages of Little River area.

Crews were called to the east Windsor home around ten minutes after noon and reportedly found smoke and fire coming from the basement.

There are no injuries reported and four people escaped the house unharmed.

The fire caused $130,000 in damages.

Windsor Fire investigators say the fire began in the basement and was caused by combustibles too close to the wood pellet stove flue pipe.
