Two people have been arrested following a break in to a University-area sushi restaurant.

Police were called to the restaurant around 4:40am this morning after receiving a report of suspicious people in the area.

Police found a man in front of the restaurant on a bicycle; as they pulled up, he began to ride away.

Officers exiting their police cruisers could hear an audible alarm coming from the restaurant.

The man on the bike was ordered to stop while a second man walked out of the restaurant through smashed door glass carrying a cash register.

Police say shards of glass were falling off of his clothing onto the sidewalk.

He quickly grabbed a bicycle and tried to flee but was apprehended.
