Kingsville OPP are investigating a crash that sent an OPP cruiser into a porch.

The collision occurred this morning around 11:25am on County Road 23 in the area of Road 5 in Kingsville.

The police cruiser was travelling south on County Road 23 with its emergency equipment activated when it attempted to pass a tow truck that had a vehicle in tow.

The tow truck made a turning movement and in order to avoid a collision, the police cruiser left the roadway and struck the porch of a residence on County Road 23.

No one in the residence was injured and the officer attended a local hospital where he was treated and released. The driver of the tow truck was not injured.
