Windsor police continue to investigate an early morning home invasion on Marion Avenue.

Police say that just after 2am two suspects went to a residence in the 700 block of Marion and knocked at the door. When the resident answered he was struck in the face with a baseball bat. Both suspects then entered the home where a female resident was also assaulted by being punched in the face.

The female was transported to Hotel Dieu hospital for treatment of her injuries. The male declined treatment at the scene.

The first suspect is described as a male white, between the ages of 20 to 25, 5’10” tall and 200 lbs. He was wearing all black clothing and had a black bandana across his face. Police say that this suspect had the bat.

The second is described as a male black, wearing all black clothing

Windsor Police Staff Sargent J. Verkoeyen says that the victims are co-operating with police, and that this incident is possibly drug related. Nothing was taken from the home.
