Two local musicians have lost thousands and thousands of dollars worth of musical instruments and equipment after their truck was broken into overnight.

Friend Lauren Adam says local ClassX bandmates Matt Lalonde and Amedeo Falconio had over $11,000 worth of musical instruments and equipment stolen from Lalondes’ vehicle while it was parked downtown at Goyeau and Tuscarora, early Sunday morning.

“This has been devastating to not only the musicians themselves, but has greatly affected everyone around them,” says Adam. “Instruments are musician’s children. For these guys, it’s all they have.”

Falconio posted a list of equipment to Facebook earlier today and the post has garnered hundreds of shares since.

Some of the stolen items include:

  • 1992 American fender strat
  • 1978 gibson s1
  • 2 signature series sunburst/ spiral Les Paul customs
  • sure wireless guitar units
  • Fender hot rod deluxe combo amp
  • Guild acoustic guitar w/pickup
  • black and yellow toolbox containing 6 gold plated planet wave instrument and speaker cables
  • 12″ Yorkville powered speaker
  • yamaha keyboard
  • 2 surprised 835 misc

Adam fears the items may be sold to a local pawn shop, on kijiji or Craigslist.

Falconio says “some of the gear is very rare and hopefully can be found with anyone’s help.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police or Falconio on Facebook.
