Sparky’s annual Toy Drive kicked off Monday evening at City Council.
From now until December 21st, new, unopened toys and cash donations can be dropped off at any Windsor Fire Station throughout the city. You can also drop off your new unopened toys at Fast Signs located at 2591 Howard Avenue.
Last year, because of donations of generous Windsorites, Windsor firefighters were able to help 3,300 children.
Gifts for older children and teens between the ages of 9 to 14 are especially needed.
The Windsor Professional Firefighters Association has a list of gift suggestions for older children here.
Each registered child will receive a bag of toys valued at approximately $35.00 this year.
Families in need please register before November 15th at the Salvation Army located at 355 Church Street in Downtown Windsor, Monday to Friday from 1pm to 4pm. You are asked to bring valid ID for yourself and children.
