Tilbury District High School as seen in Google Street View

Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a teenager and charged him with assault after he allegedly slapped another teen unconscious — for money.

In early November, police say a 16-year-old teen at Tilbury District High School entered into an agreement with classmates where he’d be paid to let them slap him.

Upon being slapped by an 18-year-old, the teen lost consciousness and fell to the ground, striking his head.

Police say the teen was rushed to to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance hospital, and later transferred to the London Health Sciences Centre where doctors discovered he suffered a concussion.

The youth was hospitalized for several days and was later released.

Police say the 18-year-old Tilbury student — who allegedly slapped the teen unconscious — was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
