UPDATED: Essex OPP say the suspect they believe was responsible for robbing the Shoppers Drug Mart has turned himself in.

OPP are currently investigating a robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart at five Talbot Street in the Town of Essex Saturday.

Police say that the male suspect entered the pharmacy demanding narcotics. The male suspect was then confronted by the pharmacist and fled the store with no merchandise in a northbound direction.

The suspect is described as a male in his late 20’s, approximate height is five foot eight to five foot ten inches tall, slim build possibly 140 to 160 pounds with a moustache and patch of beard below his lower lip (soul patch), tear tattoo on his upper right cheek, neck tattoo possibly letters below his Adams apple. Possibly tattoos on his lower arms and hands. Witness describes the person as walking with a limp. The male was wearing a red bandana, camouflage coat, dark blue jeans, and red scarf around his neck.
