The Detroit Fire Department is battling a large fire at an apartment building in Downtown Detroit, and smoke is drifting into Windsor.

Reports say the building is vacant.

Smoke could be seen and smelled throughout parts of Walkerville, Ford City and the Glengarry-Marentette area.

There’s no indication from Detroit officials if smoke from the fire is toxic.
