The 500 block of Wellington in Google Street View

Windsor Police say a witness who took a video of a suspect making off with a sack of stolen items helped to solve a break-in case in West Windsor.

Over the weekend, police say a witness saw a suspect exiting the back door of a residence in the 500 block of Wellington Avenue.

The witness told police that the suspect had a beige bag “slung over his shoulder like Santa Claus” while making a getaway on a bicycle.

Police say the witness followed the suspect eastbound on University and taped the suspect on his bicycle. The suspect apparently swore at the witness and rode off.

Police say that the back door of the residence on Wellington was forced open and that frozen meat and a jewelry box were taken.

Officers were able to immediately identify the suspect and he was arrested this morning in the 2300 block of Tourangeau.

31-year-old Brandon Quinn Davis is charged with Break and Enter.
