An OPP officer from Lambton County has been charged after a collision in Tecumseh this afternoon.

OPP say that the officer was operating a marked OPP vehicle travelling at a slow rate of speed, southbound, merging onto Manning Road from Essex County Road 22 in Tecumseh. He struck the vehicle directly in front of him that was stopped in the merging lane.

No other vehicles were involved and no one was injured in the collision.

Constable Rick Scott, an 8 year member of the Lambton County OPP has been charged with following too closely under the Highway Traffic Act.
