Windsor Police have a suspect in custody after they allege they were able to identify him from surveillance footage.

Police were called on Tuesday September 24th to an apartment in the 200 block of Erie Street West.

The home owner had just returned home and discovered that her front door was ajar. Officers cleared the apartment and found that the bathroom window was open, however no one was present inside.

Police were provided with a video that shows the front entrance of the building. At 1:32am a male suspect was observed on film working on the entrance pedestrian door. The suspect eventually gained entry to the building, giving him access to the apartment inside.

Police say they were able to identify a suspect from the video. Police attended the suspect’s residence and placed him under arrest without incident.

Thomas Corlett, 33-years-old, is charged with 2 counts of Break and Enter.
