This week marks National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week and the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program wants to remind women about the importance of cervical screening.

They say that each year 400,000 women in Canada receive an “abnormal” Pap test result. If left untreated, the “abnormal” cells of the cervix could develop into cancer.

Free Pap tests are being offered to women this Wednesday at the Multi-Cultural Council of Windsor & Essex County, located at 245 Janette Avenue.

8am to noon – Dr. Josh Polsky, Gynecologist (OBGYN)
Noon to 5pm – Dr. Elise Milrod, Family Doctor

To book an appointment, you can call Brooke Meloche at the Cancer Centre at Windsor Regional Hospital: 519-254-5577 ext. 52800 or [email protected]. Walk-ins are also welcome.
