Windsor Police are investigating a multiple stabbing that took place in the downtown area at approximately 2am Saturday morning.

Police say that at least four men suffered various stab wounds during an altercation on Pelissier Street near University Avenue.

One of the men has died from his wounds.

Three others are being treated at area hospitals and are expected to recover.

Police have not released the identity of the deceased until notification of his next of kin.

More than 50 areas of evidence have been identified by markers and Police have a large perimeter blocked off to both traffic and pedestrians.

Windsor Police Sergeant Matthew D’Asti says there is no risk to the public as the stabbing was between two groups of males.
