Windsor firefighters have extinguished an apartment fire in the 2700 block of Meadowbrook in the east end.

Crews were called around 10pm and found smoke and fire inside a second floor apartment unit at 2796 Meadowbrook Lane.

Within minutes, firefighters had the blaze under control. A single occupant was reported to have made it out safely.

Windsor Fire says the blaze was extinguished at 10:13pm and it was confined to one apartment unit.

There are no reports of any injuries.

This is the fourth fire in Windsor in less than a week.

Windsor fire says the blaze caused $60,000 in damage.
