Forster High School will close at the end of June

The end of school in June will mark a change in education for west Windsor as J.L. Forster Secondary School will close and the Century Secondary School building will become the new comprehensive high school in the area.

Besides renovations that will take place to Century school to accommodate the students from Forster, the school will also receive a new name and a new identity and the school board is seeking input from the community.

They want to know what will this school mean to the community and how can the school’s name reflect the distinctiveness of the community?

To provide input you can use the form found at this link and e-mail it to [email protected]

Forms are also available at both high schools and at Dougall, Brock, Marlborough, Taylor and Benson public schools. They can also be mailed to: High School Naming c/o GECDSB 451 Park St. W., P.O. Box 210 Windsor, ON N9A 6K1.

Submissions will be accepted until October 25th.
