Windsor Police are looking for the driver of a backhoe who allegedly collided with a parked car, and then took off.

Police say the incident took place just after midnight this morning. Police say a witness saw a construction backhoe collide with a parked Chevrolet van in the 900 block of Marion Avenue.

The crash caused approximately $8,000 in damages.

The backhoe apparently fled the scene and was later was located by police in the 1100 block of Wyandotte Street East. Police say evidence from the collision was located in the front bucket of the backhoe.

Police looked for the backhoe’s driver but couldn’t find anyone.
