On September 28th, the Windsor Public Library will be launching Go Windsor, a book created by young Windsor artists, poets, and storytellers and produced during WPL’s summer programming in its ‘X-Press Self-Publishing Lab.

“I think it will be very thrilling to see the children’s faces the first time they see the book,” says Sue Perry, ‘X-Press Self-Publishing Facilitator. “For them, it will be a new experience to have created a story or drawing that ended up in an actual “real” book that tells the story of Windsor from their perspectives.”

The young authors and artists featured in this book are Christina Charles, Sara Charles, Amisha Saeed Chaudhary, Maroosha Saeed Chaudhary, Sunny Chen, Madelena Ferrante, Milana Ferrante, Maira Nazir, Saad Nazir, Dora Strelkova, Lucy Sun, and Chase Vachon.

You will be able to see the book, talk to the authors, and enjoy some refreshments at the book’s launch at 2pm at the Remington Park Branch of Windsor Public Library, located at 2710 Lillian.
